What are you going to do with all those ribbons?? Once I compared my home canned lemon curd to the store-bought stuff we'd previously loved. The difference was striking. I did not make an inventory of my winnings yet. Tomorrow is the last day of the fair so I'll go pick up the entries and my "big fat" premium check!! I will post a picture of the winners. Several items were labeled with insufficient processing times so they were disqualified on safety issues. Of course I am not so careless when actually preserving the foods so I know they are safe. I'll be spending four hours volunteering at the display tomorrow & again Friday to help answer any questions visitors have about the process of preserving safely and successfully.
